It has been a while since I last posted on Once Upon a Bungalow Blog, we have been very busy in the Bungalow! :) Currently, I am in my third semester of the Bachelor of Interior Design program at Yorkville University. I am absolutely loving the program and everything I am learning. Sometimes I feel like I have to pinch myself because I can not believe I have found what I am supposed to do (career-wise) in this world. Not everyone is lucky enough to find their true passion and be able to have the opportunity to pursue it. I want to say thank you so much to my husband for faithfully supporting me with out hesitation. Stuart, I love you. Also, thank you to my parents, Blake and Heather and my in-law's, Dan and Elaine for looking after the kids so I can work on school work. I couldn't do all of this without your support!
So here It is! Our bedroom remodel! We had kind of moved in to the house and never put too much thought in to our bedroom. We kind of thought of it as last on the priorty list. However, after the kids took over the entire house (haha) it was a great decision to create a good environment to relax and enjoy for ourselves. We have popcorn ceilings through our entire house. I would like to eventually cover it all. My husband and I knew what a mess It would be to remove this so instead we just covered it right up! We used tongue and groove pine from Rona. Before we hung this up we white washed the planks. This is a very cost effective way of getting rid of popcorn ceilings. I hope you enjoy our master bedroom before and after pictures, and hopefully this little remodel inspires your own. Here are the before shots followed by the after shots!
*Just a quick note! The navy blue dresser is actually two Ikea dressers mounted together, painted blue, with leg's and pulls added! I will include a before picture of these dressers as well. :)
